The mPad tablet computer by Mirconoft was introduced as a competitor to Grapple's successful grPad. In contrast to the grPad , the mPad comes with a ultra-thin keyboard equipped as standard in the front cover. Another feature that the mPad has and the grPad does not, is a stand, which is inbuilt into the back of the device. The mPad's real life equivalent is the Microsoft Surface.

The mPad has very successful marketshare, beating its main rival the grPad.

Industry News[]

  • "Today, Mirconoft has announced their very own tablet device to combat the massive marketshare of Grapple's grPad device. The mPad features a sophisticated cover that comes with an integrated, ultra-thin keyboard. The tablet itself has a widescreen display and a integrated stand. The mPad seems to be a combination of a traditional notebook and a tablet, and promises to shake up the market. The new product will be on the market later this year." - Year 20, Month 6, Week 4
  • "The mPad has received mixed reviews at launch, with many of them highlighting the fact that the mPad is indeed not the same as the grPad from Grapple. We will see what the future holds for this platform." - Year 20, Month 11, Week 2
